Hi List:

Doug Nobles, an off-list contact asked for help in posting this:

For Sale: MB engine, s/n MB-447512, 500 mi since rebuild. Engine is
still in the jeep, but will be replaced by V-6. Can be test-driven,
will not be pulled out until sale. Located in Puyallup, WA, about 45 mi
south of Seattle. Rebuilt by "Centerline" in Tacoma, I think he said...

rebuilt to stock specs, block bored .020" over, crank .040" under
(mains), .020" under (rods), new bearings, pistons, rings, valves,
guides, timing chain and gears. Block has one visible weld from a crack
repair, Doug thinks stock generator (which is not there) will cover it
in the jeep. Includes new distributor and NOS carburetor, original
starter. Needs water pump pulley (old one wobbles), and starter bendix
sometimes kicks out. Doug figures he has about $1400 into this engine,
but knows he probably won't get that. He is open to offers...

By the way, standard caveats. I don't know this gentleman, just talked
to him on the telephone. If anyone really gets interested, I might be
convinced to drive down and look at it and give you a report.

Contact Doug at work at (253) 773-4580, or messages can be left at (253)
657-3410.
