I saw one of these (GUA-8) fire once, can't think of a word to describe it
other than Awsome! Of course the GUA-4 (M61) is a treat to see also (20mm).

I found that video of the 30mm gun mounted on the Fast Attack Vehicle and I
can't tell for for sure if it's the one shown on the above site but it may
very well be. Length is about correct. I was wrong about the ammo however,
it does not use the 12+" long rounds that the GUA8 uses. It is very clear
in the video that the ejected cases are conciderably smaller. One of the
test personell kept opening up a cover and sticking a hand crank in and
would give it a few turns after every 1, 2, or 3 round burst. There is still
a signifigant amount of recoil, that old dune buggy rocks back and forth a
few inches each time.

Anyway, if it's not the M230 then what else could it have been?
