Thanks for the quick response. With all the experience of our group I
sure that I can beat this problem.
More information, after looking at the responses I will try
to give you some more information.
The head was pulled and I did not find any indication of
leakage between any cylinders, all speck were correct pressures on all
cylinders were within about 20 25 lbs of each other. Valves and valve
seat were in great condition no pitting or burn spots.
Distributor is new, so I know that all bearings and bushings
are in good condition. I replaced all internal parts with ones of know
quality, this morning I replaced the coil.
The sparks plugs do not show any signs of fouling that was
the first thing I thought my problem was.
Test of the coil show that I'm getting proper voltage
through the filter in the base of the distributor.
Exhaust is new and not restricted.
Miss seem to occure most at idle, no indication that is any
one cylinder doing it. It does miss some when under load.
Like I said this one is driving me nuts, I was almost
frustrated enough the other day to consider selling it. (Couldn't do it
though this in my first love).
I will continue to work on it and let you know if I get
lucky and find the problem!
Thanks again

Van
