[MV] Mule training

Hello List!

I'm going to assume that somebody has been following my saga of trying to
recover an M274 Mule from Camp Pendleton. If my contact provides me with
the infoprmation I think he's going to provide me, the battle is 75% won.
In preparation of this, I was wondering if any of the local Mule owners
might be willing to spend a day showing me the ins and outs of driving a
Mule? I don't want to go through the expense of restoring this beastie and
then dump the transmission on the ground, run over my wife's foot, ram the
neighbor's car, or any other driving mishap when I take 'er out on her
first little jaunt. (Whenever that may be...)

I'm located in the city of Orange, California.

By the way, many thanks to everybody who responded to my Mule and jeep
aquisition queries. The fortunes of war (actually day to day life)
pre-empted the funds that I had available for purchasing a restored
version. I'm afraid that I'm going to have to put off buying an M151 until
after a few of my other projects are completed.

(Just in case somebody is feeling generous, however, I'm always willing to
give an old warhorse an honorable home, should anybody find themselves
loathe to pass on their little green baby to their yuppie kid who wouldn't
appreciate what they had and would end up wrecking the thing trying to 4 x
4 with it anyway... I realize it's a shot in the dark, but "who dares,
wins"...)

I believe I'm going to be successful, in which case, I shall request that
anybody who has restored a Mule dust off their resources, 'cause I'm going
to be asking for a considerable amount of help.

Again, thanks for the support thus far, I'm looking forward to the future!

Doing my part to get one rolling,

Bill
