Just wanted to give everyone a heads up, and request to keep an eye out
for parts, on the current MV project (sort of) that I'm involved in.

I'm currently working on restoring a USCG 44' Motor Lifeboat to
operational condition for the Sea Scout unit I'm involved with. We
received the boat last fall with a blown starboard (right for you
landlubbers :-) ) motor and many things missing, disconnected, etc.

We rebuilt the motor, a Detroit Diesel 6V53, and test ran it in the
boat for the first time yesterday (Saturday). Had to replece the
block as the original one had a hole in it.

You can see pictures of the boat at http://www.sss601.org/

Now, the request for all you MVers to keep an eye out for parts for
the USCG 44' Motor Lifeboat. If you come aross any, let me know,
please.
