There were more companies, who built jerrycans. For example
the MIAG (M=FChlenbau und Industrie AG) in my hometown Braunschweig.
I've seen jerrycans stamped MIAG.
My 1939 jerrycan is stamped "SCHWELM". If you want, have a look at:

Later the name of the manufacturer was coded. The three letters are
codes for the manufacturer.
