List,
OK for all of you who wanted to know what jeep models could be found in
the new book, here is a list.
Bantam Pilot, BRC-60, Willys Quad, Ford Pygmy, BRC-40, Willys MA, Ford
GP, MB Slat Grille, MB Stamped Grille, Ford GPW, Ford GPA, MT-TUG, MB-L,
A Chevrolet Prototype jeep, CJ-V35/U, M-38/MC, CJ-4M/M-38E1, M-38A1/MD,
M-170/MDA, Model BC/Bobcat, M-151, M-151A1, M-151A2, M-422, M-422A1,
M-606, M606A2 & A3, M715, M-676, M-677, M-678, M-679,
I think that about covers all of the military jeeps. The book has
history, technical specs, option lists and production information. The
rest of the book covers all of your civilian jeeps to include the FC
models, wagons, trucks, CJs, YJs, TJs, Jeepsters, Wagoneers, 4x2 and 4x4
models.
On the back cover is a nice color photo of one of the earliest CJ-2
AgriJeep serial number 09 one of only six known to exist.
I found the book to be very informative with other tid bits of
information on the origins of the name jeep, differences between the MB
and GPW, ect. ect. Hope this helps out. Next time you are in one of
the book stores like Barnes and Noble, check it out.
