Some funny responses there people.Yes,I meant siping,my mistake on
spelling.I had looked at the European type tires but they are actually quite
different than the performance one would expect from a siped NDT.Unimogs
from the Swiss used a lot of the Firestone European type NDT's.And a guy
here brought in 90 of them for sale(Unimogs).
I am trying to decide weather to go with the Gamma Goat arrangement on my
M37 for tires or a set of 40" swampers. So far everything points to the Gama
Goat tires but the biggest down fall is traction compared to the Swampers.
The NDT's would be easier to steer with out going power and give better fuel
mileage. Also because of the harder tread they would last longer.
The swampers have way better traction but are harder to steer and I am sure
I would have to go to power steering.Fatter tire overall.I would probably
need a lot more HP to push those tires too.
I am hoping siping would be enough to make a noticeable difference in
traction on a NDT because I have done my share of slipping and sliding on
them on a wet surface.
