[MV] MVPA Board Elections

I just received my July/August issue of Supply Line. Anybody out
there read the pg 5 article about the MVPA board of directors
election? I noticed that 6 nominations were submitted, one of which
was rejected "for cause". The article didn't mention the name or the
cause. It appeared as though this might have been intentionally left
vague to protect his identity/reputation. However, I recently talked
to him on the phone and found that Jim Gilmore does not mind being
identified as the rejected nominee but sure as heck would like to
know what the "cause" was. I suggested it was probably due to his
shedding light on the "massed Italian voting block" situation used in
previous elections. I'm sure this cozy little situation was useful to
those "in the know" to assist in desirable election outcomes. There
was an article by Dennis Spence in Military Vehicles magazine
relating to this situation sometime after the last election.

Anybody out there hear about this or have any info regarding this
interesting development in our hobby? A response from Jerry
Cleveland or anybody else from the MVPA office who frequents this
list would be highly enlightening. (Don't be afraid to hurt Jim's
feelings, he wants to get as much of this stuff out in the open so he
can defend himself, rather than be the subject of secret whisperings
and letters filled with unsubstantiated rumors.)
