FINALLY HOME, from 2-1/2 week trip to San Jose and 1 week to Boy Scout Camp.
Drove from Birmingham to San Jose, by way of Denver, Cheyenne, and Salt Lake
City. 6,257 miles round trip. Man it's a long way out there.

Spotted the following vehicles behind buildings and in lots. Way too far
away for me to be interested in, buy maybe somebody else is closer to them:

1. MB beside a Phillips 66 Gas Station in Granby, Colorado (on US 40).
Looked fairly complete - metal top with show chains on Combat Wheels in back
of jeep. Had newer jeep parked in service bay (saw on Sunday - station
closed). Might not need old jeep since he's got a newer one now.

2. MB/GPW - couldn't tell (guard dog inside fence) at Owens Valley Motors in
Bishop, California (Sunday again and wasn't open) on US 395. Looked from
front to have a modifed steering system.

3. Chevy 1-1/2 ton panel truck, like the one on the inside cover of latest
Military Vehicle Magazine at "SKI HAUS" 801 N. Humphreys Street - Flagstaff,
Arizona (on US 180) 774-7641. Modified with V8 motor, snow plow and some
neat looking big tires - maybe HUMMVE tires?.

Saw plenty of others, but they were out in the boonies, behind/beside farms -
ranches. Couldn't find them again if I tried.

Great trip - WAY TOO LONG - going to fly next time.

Tom Campbell - Birmingham (finally), Alabama
