[MV] Importation of armour-form 6

As many of you know, Earl Tucker has decided to take on the Government with a
class action lawsuit for the benefit of Mil-veh ownership.

Please consider this . . . .

The action is to simply get the Form 6 process restarted so importation of
SME AKA mil-veh parts and vehicles can proceed without obstruction. While
the focus now is certainly on just one area of SME, that being armor, this
action does cover a multitude of other things, such as but not limited to,
boats, trucks, parts, etc., that will enhance the future of the MVPA if
successful.

I support and applaud his efforts. Its no small matter to stand up to big
government when they are clearly being defiant and operating out of bounds as
they are here.
Earl is trying to oppose the State Dept. and the BATF via a class action
lawsuit to correct the situation.

The Government currently denies all SME mil veh imports requiring a BATF Form
6. They have done so deliberately with what I suspect is a hidden agenda and
continue to do so knowing their own legal department has said they lack the
grounds to stop such importation. This is a very alarming situation when
government knowingly acts indifference to the law.

The State Dept. and the BATF are playing one off against the other, while
both deny responsibility and nothing changes. In the process these two
agencies are not even remotely responsive to citizens requests for resumption
of the importation process. Congressmen or even Senators who inquire on our
behalf are likewise stonewalled. This defiance and arrogance displayed is
shameful and must not go unanswered. Its time to hold them accountable to
the public by any lawful, legal means available.

I for one will stand with Earl and I pledge $100 to his lawsuit, I only wish
I could afford to give more. However, I consider it a bargain if we can
right a wrong and make our government responsive to the people it is supposed
to protect and serve.

Although I am not personally affected by this ban, I can see how this Form 6
action is a future threat to our Mil-veh hobby. Perhaps most importantly, I
understand how this could become another incremental erosion of our personal
freedoms. I hope you would consider this and if you are able, support Earl.

Disclaimer: I do not know Mr. Tucker other than as a member of the MVPA and
no one else has asked me to write this.

Respectfully submitted,

Jack Lee
