I can see from this, as well as further thought, that simply not voting for
someone because they currnetly are on the board is not neccessarily a good
idea.
I will try to find out who voted how on this and other issues before I mail
my ballot.
The important thing here is to PAY YOUR DUES AND VOTE!!! If you are not part
of the solution, you are part of the problem...
I personally are as concerned with the current de-mil requirements as I am
the form 6 ban, but understand that the MVPA board, like any, is made up of
individuals, who vote largely THEIR opinion, not neccessarily their
"constituants" opinion, especially since in this organization every board
member is "at large". There is a board member in our local chapter who has
not attended a chapter function in almost 2 years. He can hardly be
considered my "representative".
I have been an officer in other clubs in the past, and I know that any
officer in any club is faced with constant criticism, and lots of thankless
work with only the occasional "atta boy", so I understand (I think) how easy
it is to decide club issues based on personal opinion even in the best of
circumstances.

Again, the key is PAY YOUR DUES AND VOTE!! Then bombarded the offficers with
your suggestions, letters, concerns and OFFERS TO HELP on those matters that
are important to you.
