Hi Rob,

I suspect that the originaal OD canvas was simply replaced by someone
handy with a sewing machine. I have never heard of (yet, anyway<G>) of
a bag to put the cot in.

I think someone simply made a replacement canvas piece and used the
extra fabric to make the bag.

So, you can make a replacement for the replacement!

I took two army cots that had bad canvas and repainted the frames and
put white canvas in so I could use for earlier reenactments.

Cheers
Jim

Found at garage sale: an orange canvas cot with O.D. legs and
frame; collapsible and goes into an orange bag like a duffel bag;
the following words are ink-stamped on the O.D. wood, "GOLD MEDAL
1943" Any ideas what I've got?!
