[MV] M31C or M25 pedestal mount?

Thanks info...The high price of USD 1,000 is the current price for the
thing in Europe...we are talking the originals, not reproduction ones. The
M 25 does not ring a bell with me...is it post WWII ? The M 31 and M 31 C
are the WWII Models for the .30 and .50 machine guns installed in Jeeps. I
would love to have an original, but not at that money ! I have seen
reproduction ones being offered at say USD 500 +, but then if it is a repro
anyway, why not make one yourself ? It seems to be dead easy, provided you
have a sample or a drawing...all you would need is some round steel bars,
some steel angles, a lathe...possibly some patience and skill. I estimate
the material price at USD 50 max. compare that to the USD 500 for the repro
one...I think the data plates are also available as reproduction item.
Keep them rolling...
