I would not dream of even attempting to have the last word on
such a gargantuan subject..How presomptuous it would be! It just
happened that my posting cme online at the same time as some
emphatic protests from listees and urges to go off-list.
I just took the hint and declined to go any further on-list on
these topics.
However, you and everyone else on the list should know that I
welcome any intelligent discourse off-list.. Indeed, my mailbox
have been quite filled up lately...hardly the last word indeed!

PS: why address this message to the list when it really should
be addressed to me personally?
