Seems like everyone thinks the DRMO auctions are some sort of mystifying
big deal. They are an extremely simple matter.
1. Call your local DRMO and ask to be placed on their mailing list.
2. You will receive a catalog which contains the items to be sold (don't
place too much trust in them being there after you bid) (I have had pieces
taken by other Govt agencies) ( You simply don't get the item--you also do
not pay for it)
3. You must pay for the items with certified funds or cash
4. There are several types of auctions...The regular auctioneer with the
hand raising--nose picking or butt scratching...(ever watch these guys?)
There are the "sealed bid" mail in type...and now the best kind...DRMO is
going private...they are having contractors come in and sell the stuff GET
THIS-- A guy comes in and puts the stuff in a building..you come in and want
to buy item "X"...he puts a price on it..you buy it and go home.. Oh
well...we paid for a lot of this stuff to begin with..No soldier ever bought
a tank or APC with his own monney.. Contact me off the list if there is
anything else you want o know..1SG PANTANO
