Here is the way I see this list..and what should be discussed..Arthur, give
your 2 cents too please.
We have a nice military vehicle...whatever it may be...to drive it properly
in the local veterans day parade, we need the proper equipment..and
accessories...like a M1 Rifle or a .30 Browning in the pintel...We need the
proper uniforms--for whatever period the vehicle may be. We also need to be
very open to new guys on the block and do all we can to encourage them in
the restoration of these old war horses. Sarcasm and smart asses can just go
jump as someone said. We should be able to ask questions about what was
proper for the vehicle for the period..reenactors as well have a place
here..they use vehicles too...most of them need to be "enlightened"....I
have seen M37's painted as "Afrika Corps" rigs....excuse me... Lets cut
some slack, especially to the younger guys. I was here "before" WWII...down
at a little Air Base in Midland Beach, Staten Island.....name escapes me
now... But the point is..patience..ease up..be pleasant..or "go jump"..1SG
