I have to agree with Geoff. Perhaps the point here is that we FOCUS ON THE
MILITARY VEHICLES, but that some weapons are very relevant to the vehicles
and sometimes are built right in, mounted on or towed. On the other hand,
this list is NOT for discussing the "right" to bear arms, where to buy or
sell them, or the good or bad aspects of firearms.

So, if the question is relevant to an MV, then I feel it should be OK. Use
common sense of course, as some readers are in countries that prohibit or
severely restrict the use or
display of firearms, and many people have stong feelings about firearms -
both pro and con.

Asking about which pedastel mg mount is correct for your 1952 Ford M38CDN
should be no different than asking about the correct radio antenna mount for
this same vehicle.

Re: Info on SAS, LRDG and PPA jeep weapons research - feel free to contact
me off
list at colin@pacdat.net . MOST restorers of jeeps who try to make them look
like SAS jeeps make some very basic mistakes (wrong weapons, post-war gun
mounts and armour shields, overdone markings, fragile lanterns dangling
etc.). I am working on an article for ARMY MOTORS on SAS jeeps.
