[MV] Mule engine conversions

Dear list, There has some discussion about mule engine swaps lately. I would
like to hear from someone who has taken off a 4 cycl. and replaced it with a
2 cycl. I did one of these recentlly and found that it is a clean conversion,
with one exeption. The frame tubes from the trans-axle assy. to the bed are
not the same. The M274 & M274A1 will not accept the 2 cycl. engine with these
frame tubes. Has anyone found this to be true also? How did you overcome
this? I have some tubes from an A5, but haven't put them on yet. I plan to
return to the 4 cycl. engine if I ever get it running. If anyone who has done
one of these had other problems I'd like to know about them. Thanks in
