What I did when I brought back my CMP C-15 was to rent a 14' Ryder
truck and full size car trailer.
It seemed wirth the cost because of the peace of mind of knowing I had
a tow package able to handle it, It had maintenance support if I broke
down, and the Customs folks on both sides didn't have a problem with
me crossing the border with it.
Also, with the box of the Ryder truck almost empty, I had room to
sleep in the back and carry the odd bits of spare parts that I had
also bought.
Ryder was almost 1,000 cheaper than U-Haul. I paid 650 for a round
trip from Philadelphia to Ontario and back. I had a lot of problems
with several U-Haul dealers in the last several years and will not do
business with them. My experiance with Ryder was great!
oh, btw, one of my books gives the total curb weight as 4,260.
