Buy the biggest air compressor you can afford. I sand blast with a very
small pressurized pot, one of those 90 pound wonders from Harbor Freight. It
needs at least 10-12 cfm to do a decent job, without having to wait forever
for the tank to refill. I started with a 5 hp 240 volt 30 gallon tank, and
it wouldn't keep up. I've since bought a 6-1/2hp 60 gallon TWO STAGE air
compressor. Two stage, compresses the compressed air and gets up to 175 psi
in the tank. 60 gallon tank will keep you running longer, regulate the air
to around 100-110 psi. Compressor will actually shut off for a short while.
Pretty evenly matched for my small pot. Larger pot will require a larger air
compresson.

Stongly recommend the two stage air compressors, and at least 60 gallon tank.
