This trailer is actually a Bantam BT3C civilian trailer. I would probably
say it was made in the later 40's like 46 or 47 would be my best guess.
This trailer differs mainly by the tailgate and the ball hitch but has
other differences. On the WWII trailers there are four tie-downs per side,
this trailer has three per side and one front and back. There is no
parking brake like the WWII jeep trailers. There is only one driver's side
taillight rather than two. I seem to think that this is a later trailer
because it has rear side support panels for the tailgate and not gussets
like here http://209.160.0.8/jmh/image/n4.jpg on a BT3C owned by John
Hubbard. Check out the info on the jeep style trailers at
http://www.film.queensu.ca/CJ3B/HubbardTrailers/Bantam.html.
I own one of these trailers now in a very similar condition to the one at
auction, and just sold another one this past week in a little worse
condition.
I have one question for others that see this photo that know jeep style
trailers, the boxed section of the frame up front past where the box
attaches on this trailer is cut in a ">" fashion. Does anyone know of when
the style of cutting the boxed section of the frame changed? Does anyone
know when they changed form support gussets to rear side panels?

Are there any other BT3C owners out there I would like to hear from you.
