HI List,
A short time ago I solicited your opinions on an M43 Ambulance and
am very grateful for the responses. We kept talking it over and considering
the offer and then "a funny thing happened on the way to the throne room..."
My Dad's phone rings and the conversation goes:

"Hi Frank (my Dad), make sure you're home Sunday afternoon and evening"
"OK Les (M43 owner), why?"
"We're going to the camp this weekend and we'll deliver the ambulance on the
way home"
"OK, hey, does it run and drive?"
"Yep, no problem, two new batteries this year, it'll drive right on and off
the trailer. See you Sunday."
The line goes dead.

So, I guess Dad owns an ambulance, sort of (money was never
discussed too deeply), or maybe he's donating it to the veterans group and
the barnyard got "volunteered" as the storage place (a VERY likely
scenario). The whole thing is getting pretty amusing, but now I need to
rearrange everything again to make them fit! Just a developement I thought
was interesting to share as the hurricane comes down on us. I'll let you
know what shows up on Sunday and start the search for parts, annoy you with
questions, etc. I'll ask now if anybody has pictures of M43s for the
color/marking scheme and especially the interior of the rear compartment.
Another MV saved!

Happy Hurricane,
Dennis O'Connor
