Wheel spacers are exactly what the Marine Corp. used when they changed
the M-416-B1 wheels from M-151 to M-422 (Mighty Mite) wheels. The trailers
still retained the 1/4 ton load capacity but allowed the Marines to use the
same rims as the towing vehicle. I don't know if the studs were changed as
well. Maybe Tom Price in Ohio can check on his several B-1's. I have yet
to see this done on a USMC M-100 though it should work the same.
