I have a '53 M38A1 and it is insured with State Farm. I have all of the
required California liability coverage as well as collision, comprehensive,
towing, etc. I am allowed 7500 miles a year or less. The cost is $300 a
year. There was no problem with insuring it. I just drove it to their office
and they looked at it and took some pictures. I gave them the insured value
as I saw it. They do offer a cheaper plan for "Classics" but you are limited
to 300 miles a year for club functions and parades, etc. I use my Jeep for
camping and four wheeling, so that mileage figure was unrealistic for me. As
I recall the price for that coverage was around $120 a year. Of course cost
varies by region.
