Exactly what I have done on my MB... a small inconspicuous
Renault 4 rectangular mirror painted OD ;) Much safer in modern
traffic, does'nt vibrate as much as the outside mirror...

In my abundant collection of WWII pics in the ETO, I never saw
actually any outside mirrors on the passenger side. Only one
picture with a round mirror mounted in the middle of the
windshield taken during post-war occupation in Germany.. Maybe
1946 or 47
