My understanding is that Fed standard 595A is actually the
current grouping of different shades, colors and luster-types...
The old numbering is still in use, under that Fed Standard:
All I know id 34087 is the right shade of OD lusterless for
(early) WWII US Vehicles
and 24087 is a semi-gloss (darker shade) OD used in late WWII
and post-WWII for US Vehicles.
