Please forgive the delay in expressing my thanks to everyone who replied
to my query about ex-Navy MVs. I am most grateful for the interesting
and enlightening responses.
Unfortunately, time just doesn't permit an in depth look into the
subject right now; it's merely a prurient interest. I have wondered for
some time about those battleship gray HMVs. The few I've spotted (a
single screw tractor with a GTMO designation at Weare, NH two years ago
and an M37 that vanished from a driveway in Sanford, ME last year * sigh
* ) have piqued my interest. I just knew they couldn't all have ended up
as boat anchors.
If anyone else would like to share any info on or off list, I would be
delighted.
