Listers,
I just received the following request for the use of a half-track. I do not
have
one available and I'm not sure where one might be, so I offered to post his
request.
On behalf of SGT Browning, I thank you for any help offered.
E-mail him at: tbrowning@jobe.net

Hi Joe,
My name is Staff Sergeant Tim Browning. I am writing you from Fort
Leonard Wood, Missouri. I have been given the task of locating an
operational Half-track for my Battalion Commander's change of command
which is scheduled for June 2000.
When I first received the tasking, not only did I consider it absurd
but thought it was impossible as well. After immersing myself in the
history of the Battalion (48th Armored Infantry Battalion) I came to
realize that the Half-track was the primary weapon/transportation of the
Battalion just short of the foot soldier. So, between now and May, when
I go back to FT Drum, NY, I am dedicating all of my available time to
locating one.
Now that I have bored you with the details, is there anybody that
you can refer me to. We do not desire to buy it, but rent it and the
driver. We prefer to find one that is near Missouri if not in Missouri
to keep expenses down.
Any help that you may offer would be deeply appreciated.

Sincerely,

Timothy J. Browning
Staff Sergeant, U.S. Army tbrowning@jobe.net
