[MV] 1948 Navy Dodge 2.5 ton transmission

Listers,
According to Don Bunn's "Dodge Trucks" the Navy purchased some two and one-half ton trucks in 1948 with 5 speed transmissions. I believe I have located one of those trucks. I know the engine is not correct and I am wondering about the transmission. Does anyone know what model transmission went into these Navy trucks?
