I'd have to give Dennis some slack, on the basis that English probably
isn't his first language, and it's a lot better than my Dutch / Belgian /
whatever.
I do buy vehicles and bits from European dealers, and find them fair and
honest as a bunch. Some, like Jaap Rietveld, Chris Muys, and Steve Rivers
I would positively recommend
However, as to the value of a jeep, I personally do not know anyone that
has EVER paid more than 4k UKP (6k USD equivalent) for the nicest,
straightest, best-equipped 'ordinary' MB or GPW. I bought two GPWs last
year for USD 3k equivalent each (one is sold and I'm keeping the other)
and I think the price was fair to buyer and seller. Had to spend about
USD 1k on parts for mine, giving a total of USD 4k up and running, though
it could still use a new hood.
