Hi List:
Have located a 1962 unimog 4x4. Appears in decent condition - good
tires - average to good body - running w/rebuilt 6 cyl. gas engine. Any
suggestions as to what to look for, potential trouble spots and ballpark
estimate as to value will be greatly appreciated. Also, there is a hard
top for the driver's compartment "available". Is this a stock item or
would it have been something made to fit later? At first glance, it
appears to not fit quite right sort of like the 2-1/2 ton tops on the
3/4ton Dodges. Haven't closely examined the truck yet and will wait for
your valued and informed opinions.

Be prepared for big bucks for any repairs and As far as the top goes I know
of several mogs that were fitted with a ford top because it looked close.The
magic number in repairs for a mog seems to be around $1000 average.
They sell at the local auction around $8000CDN for early to mid 60's 404's.
