I am getting ready to purchase a trailer for pulling my M151A2 to shows, etc..

Rather than re-invent the wheel I am hoping that the good people out on the newsgroup can help me out with some advice.

I take it a two axle trailer is pretty much a given, but are there any does or don'ts that go with this. The tow vehicle is a brand new Dodge Dakota V8 with the towing package so I do not think gross weight is an issue for the payload. But a lot of questions come to mind..... How to keep trailer from being stolen once at the convention or show and you have unhooked it so that you can get around town? Best straps to use to tie it down on the trailer? Should I strip everything off of the jeep while transporting, radio and pedestal mount, stuff like that? Any dumb trailer tricks I should try to not duplicate? Things I should know to keep from having a towing accident, stuff like that. Anything on the topic would be greatly appreciated from the group. I do plan to bring the Mutt to the Kansas City convention this year, really looking forward to my first convention. I suppose the do's and don'ts for that could be a separate thread all together.

Hope everyone has had a great start into the new year!
