For those of you who keep records of Data plate serial numbers. I
inspected a GPW Script last year and found this number on the brass data
plate. Serial number 8012 Date of Delivery 3/42. I examined the plate
very closely and could only see the month and year but no day. The plate
had been sanded and was worn. However it appeared that there may not
have been a day date stamped in originally
