I agree....

If we can successfully instruct someone how to give CPR over the phone, we
can give instructions to the officers in the field. It's not that hard, and
now that most PDs have laptop computers, some diagrams and/or pictures could
be included. We use the same procedures for hazardous materials - no one can
remember all the code numbers, so the dispatch centers and many officers
have the code books so they don't slop around in nitric acid or breath
ammonia.
I am responsible for SWAT training in Washington State - guess I will add
some of this to the curriculum. We have a great resource with Ft. Lewis
nearby, and the MPs go out of their way to assist us.
