The guy who drives his OD CJ 2 at CAF events is
>pleasing the crowd, and having a good time, and isn't that enough?

At the risk of starting a big deal here...No its not good enough, at least
not in reenacting circles. This question points out one of the problems
with interacting between vehicle people and good reenactment organizations.
Different standards. When I am standing in a $1,500 of clothes carrying
$2,500 in weapons and driving a perfictly reproduced British airborne gun
jeep (who the hell knows what thats worth) the guy in the CJ2A annoys me.
Thats why most reenactment clubs have strict authenticity rules. True the
CAF is not a reenactment society so its no problem, but as I said there are
differences in expectations between MV collectors and Reenactors. No one is
worse or better, just different. Though I must say that I find it funny to
be called a stitch Nazi, after all that is saying "he tries too hard to do
it right." What does that say about the guys who says it?
