First, the M-240B is not 5lbs. heavier. Maybe 2 lbs. Second, it is really
nothing more than a slightly undated FN-MAG-58 which beat out the M-60 in
tests over 40 years ago! But politics and the US military's refusal to buy
the best for their troops, only the most PC. Most of the free world,
including Israel, have been using the GPMG-FN-MAG-B-240 for almost 40 years.
It has consistently proven itself superior to the M-60. The M-240 has been
used in the M-1 for 15 years. The UK L-37 version was used in Ferrets, and is
in all other Brit armor.

There are no replicas made in the US. Battle Orders in the UK offers a poor
aluminum cast GPMG, but its about $750.00 by the time you pay shipping.
