12 Volt trailer AND 24 Volt deuce

A buddy of mine has a neat "construction trailer" with a tilt bed, perfect
for hauling non-streetable MV's with behind a deuce. The trailer has 12 volt
lights AND brakes. What do we do about the brakes (which work off the
lighting circuit) to pull behind a M series truck with 24 volt system.

Any help or tips appreciated.
