All Ye of MLU and The Abiding Faith In Commonwealth,

Ask and ye shall receive!

Behold, the Official MAPLE LEAF UP Event Listings page:

http://www.mapleleafup.org/shows.html

In response to some of the comments seen on the MLU Forum and more received by
email, we're happy to present to you
what will become the most concise, central listing of Canadian, British and/or
Commonwealth MV events in the world.

The qualification is that any event listed have some degree of significance to
satisfy the interests of the unique
and demanding readership we have here at MLU. In other words, if you're having
an event where you expect
400 M-series trucks and MAYBE a Ferret, this probably isn't for you; if,
however, you as a club organizer expect
numerous CMPs, or perhaps some running British armour, or a swapmeet heavily
weighted to
British/Commonwealth/Canadian gear, or at least the attendance of more than the
odd, known CMP enthusiast, then
we're willing to help promote your event!

Look at it this way... there will eventually be detailed listings here from
around the world. If an MLU reader
shows up at your gate the day of the event, will he see what he's come for? Will
he walk away with a smile on
his face, and come back to tell us all how much fun he had? If yes, your listing
is welcome here!

We are a clearing house for the announcement and publicity of such related
activities. Enthusiasts for this genre of equipment abound right around the
world, and now MLU is in a position to support them and their interests
directly. So if your club is hosting an event which you know will have some
interesting Canadian/British/Commonwealth vehicles or equipment onsite, then let
us know!

There are detailed instructions for posting your events on the site itself. It's
easy! just fill in the boxes on the
attached form, and click "Submit" - we'll do the rest.

Listings are broadly separated by continent/region, and ordered by date.

This page is also accessible from the EVENTS button on the MLU Contents Page.

Needless to say, your comments, suggestions and criticisms are warmly
appreciated.

Thanks, and enjoy!

Geoff
