A Ben Hur trailer would be your best bet. It was the standard 1 ton trailer
used in WWII. There are larger ones, but this fits with the weight of your
generator. Any photos of this piece of equipment? Who did it belong to,
the AAF or the US Army? I'd be interested in seeing it.
