Herb, to answer your first question...the ground strap runs from the bottom
of the ignition coil to the ignition coil mounting bracket stud, just to the
right of the coil. As far as I know, 6 volt coils all has the mounting stud
for the ground strap on the bottom. I hope this helps. Good luck.
