Hi Steve and list,

Concidering that the guy is giving you the truck for free, why don't you just buy him some used tires of the same size from Genesco or one of the other used Mil tire guys. It may save you a lot of grief for a few hundred bucks.

Any truck tire that has been on for years will usually be a problem to
remove. Many times it will be destroyed during removal. I have a Bear truck
tire changing machine and I have 'launched' truck tires off of it trying to
break the tire bead from the rim. In addition, the CCKW non-split rim is not
easy to figure out how to get off.

If you are going to do this, you might want to take them to a truck tire
shop...
