This sure sounds like an updated version of a WWII unit (not the one I
mentioned before) that several people I know have. These where all made by
Hobart but every detail you mention sounds very similar if not the same. I
can tell you one thing, these are very sweet running machines. One friend
of mine uses his regularly to power a remote cabin he has. He converted his
to run on LP however which makes it even better. You should have a nice
little unit there.
