Hello List,
I've recently acquired a 524A and 422 AUX for my HMMWV. I am like Mark
where I like everything to be authentic in my vehicles, so I went the route
of getting functioning radios. I am a CPT in the US Army Reserve, and while
on active duty I was a tanker who had similar radio set up in my M1A1.
Obviously I have used these radios in the past legally while in the service.
My question is can anyone point me in the direction to get a license so I
can operate these radios in a civillian capacity? I thought the Amateur
Radio licensing was fairly difficult requiring learning morse code and
such... is this a myth or is that another level of certification? Excuse my
ignorance in this area, in the Army we just used them after learning the
basics..... :)
