there are many steps in getting one ready to run. first if you don't
know when it was run last it should be prelubed to prevent damage to the
bearings.if it was a turbo you should remove the oil supply line and oil
the turbo bearing. make sure there is fuel in tank, don't trust gauuge.
next turn on the fuel pump and bleed the fuel filters. should be 5-7 psi
at final filter bleeder. must have GOOD batteries so it will crank at
300 rpm. crank with throttle full open to inject as much fuel as
possible. this will help seal the rings and insure it keeps going when
started. ( 1000 rpm after started ) fuel shutoff rod could be
stuck........ would not advise ever using ether unless you have a spare
engine. it is not necessary. the engine will start unless something is
wrong with it.
