Any old time hotrodders out there? Guys, the GMC engine was the engine of
choice before the coming of the V8's and can be made to run. Heck they
ran the GMC in track roadsters, sprint cars, and modifieds for years and
there used toi be a lot of speed equipment made for it. Remember it is a
torque engine with the long stroke. A good cam and some carb work to help
the breathing would help a bunch. Also, one might score a Wayne head
conversion off of a Marine or water pump or compressor engine. In the cam
department, one might want to check and see if Chris Neilson is still
grinding cams down in Farmington UT as he's one who can grind cams for the
older engines. Give him the Specs on the vechicle and you'll be surprised.
