bypassing the compensator 'may' make the engine more stable. i.e. the
same throttle setting all the time. but in the long run you will never
notice any difference, and certainly no more power. as to the question
of burning gas, notice that the plate says combat gas. and the injection
pump on a ldt/lds engine is internally lubed by the engine oil system.
pumps such as the one on the gm diesel are lubed by the diesel fuel
itself. the notion that adding oil to gas for burning in a diesel is
just a notion. i can think of no practical value for doing so.
