I only know of one, the USS Philadelphia, a 53.3 ft long sloop gunboat
("gundalow"), built 1776 at Whitehall, NY, sunk 11 Oct 1776 at Battle of
Valcour Island on Lake Champlain, salvaged 1935. Currently on display at the
Smithsonian in Washington along with the cannonball that sank her (hole is
visible). Of the two colonial ships sunk, I think Philadelphia was the only
one salvaged. [International Register of Historic Ships, Brouwer, 1985, US
Naval Institute]
