Well John I solved this by getting a battery radio - uses about 6 C
batteries and is easy to take out of vehicle and put in any that I am going
to drive - spent about 35 dollars and got a pretty good one with CD and
tape deck
At little OD spray paint and it fits right in.
Does not look too bad
