The only serious problem with tapping in between the batteries on a 24
volt system and using the battery which is grounded to the chasis is
this:
Under heavy loads on the 12 volt tap the other battery will be over
charged and can boil dry.
It would be OK to use a radio or CB this way but a flood light might
cause problems.
